Julia's Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (or however much you want, i have never measured)
  • nuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Cream 1 cup sugar and 1 cup shortening.
  3. Add 1 1/2 cup canned pumpkin and 1 egg.
  4. Separately combine 2 Cups flour, 1 t. baking soda and 1 t, cinnamon.
  5. Mix into cream mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate nuts, etc.
  7. Spoon onto greased cookie sheet bake 10-12 minutes.
