Ingredients:

  • 10 slices of toasted bread
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 small onion (chopped )
  • 1/2-3/4 cup sugar (depending on how sweet you like it)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp sage

Directions:

  1. Toast 10 slices of bread, break up into small pieces and pour hot water over to soften bread.
  2. Add the 2 eggs beaten and chopped onion.
  3. Add sugar, and sage.
  4. Mix with your hands (or spoon if you prefer).
  5. Add salt and pepper.
  6. Mix well and stuff in bird or if cooking alone wrap in foil and put in pan.
  7. Bake at 325-350 for appx one hour to one hour and a half. (depending on how your oven works.).
