Homemade Hen Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 2 large hens
  • 2 large onions
  • 4 large celery ribs
  • 3 tbsp. sage
  • 2 fresh cloves of garlic chrushed
  • 1/2 tbsp. accent (optional)
  • 1/2 tbsp. celery seeds
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 large or 8 to 9-inch; homemade cornbread

Directions:

  1. Boil Hens in large pot; about 2 hours or until tender; cool and debone set aside
  2. Save hen stock
  3. Mix remaining ingredients together( except cornbread)
  4. In x large container add cornbread, hen stock; and the remaining ingredients mix well
  5. Add hen pieces to mixture
  6. Bake in center of oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until set in center and brown.
