Homemade Caramel Corn

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Melt butter, br.
  2. Sugar, corn syrup and salt in a heavy saucepan, then cook it 5 minutes without stirring.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda.
  4. This will make it foam up.
  5. Immediately pour over popcorn and stir well.
  6. Turn into 2 large baking pans.
  7. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
