Ingredients:

  • 2 cups raisins
  • 2 cups water, hot
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup nutmeats

Directions:

  1. Pour water over raisins.
  2. Add baking soda.
  3. Let stand overnight. In morning add remaining ingredients.
  4. Grease three 1-pound coffee cans and bake at 350 for 1 hour, then remove bread from cans.
