Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Stir together dry ingredients in a large bowl. In another large bowl cream margarine and sugar, add corn syrup, water and egg. Gradually beat dry ingredients into wet ingredients stir in raisins. Spread in a greased and floured 13x9 pan. Bake at 375 until done- about 25 - 35 minutes. Cool and cut in squares. Store in a tight box or tin.
