Hamburger Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 3 -4 celery ribs
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 -4 medium potatoes (peeled )
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can tomatoes (crushed )

Directions:

  1. Brown meat and onion.
  2. Dice vegetables and add to meat along with tomatoes in a soup pot.
  3. Add remaining seasonings.
  4. Add 3 cans of water.
  5. Boil for 2 hours.
  6. Add more water as needed.
  7. When soup is done, use potato masher to mash soup to a nice thick consistency.
