Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch aspargus spears -snap off ends
  • dash of sea salt
  • sprinkle of fresh lemon juice (optional)

Directions:

  1. Amounts of ingredients used will depend on how many your cooking for.
  2. Melt butter and then add and mix the chopped fresh thyme
  3. Spread the butter and thyme mixture over the asparagus spears
  4. If you like, drizzle a little lemon juice over top
  5. Grind some fresh ground black pepper corns over the asparagus
  6. Sprinkle slightly with a dash sea salt
  7. You can either place the asparagus on a grilling rack and place on your barbeque and grill at medium heat until it is done to your preference....I like mine to come off the grill slightly crisp...In my opinion it has more flavour than when it's over done and soft..........
  8. You can also do the asparagus on wooden skewers which will need to be soaked in water for about 20 minutes....And I dont mean one asparagus spear per skewer....You can probably get 5-6 asparagus spears on 2 skewers...You know...Like making the asparagus raft ...makes the flipping of the asparagus easier, and the asparagus wont fall through the grill....
