Grandma's Spritz Press Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • food coloring (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix butter, sugar, extract, salt, and egg together (I recommend a Kitchen Aid).
  2. Slowly add flour to the wet ingredients.
  3. Add food coloring (if desired)
  4. Load dough into cookie press.
  5. Press cookies onto cookie sheet.
  6. Decorate.
  7. Bake a 400 degrees for 7-10 minutes.
  8. Cookies will not brown when done.
