Grammie Bea's Chocolate Crackle Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 8 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • confectioners' sugar , to roll cookies in

Directions:

  1. Blend Crisco/margarine and sugar.
  2. Add vanilla, eggs, milk, and cocoa. Beat well, and add nuts.
  3. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to first mixture. Beat well.
  4. Chill for 1 hour.
  5. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 350, for 8-10 minutes Keep an eye on the cookies at 8 minutes as you don't want them to burn.
  7. Roll in confectionary sugar when still warm. Let cool.
