Ingredients:

  • 6 apples , large
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups cranberry juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 whole cloves

Directions:

  1. In sauce pan, combine all ingredients except the apples. boil for 5 minutes.
  2. Wash and core the apples, slice, unpeeled into medium thick rings.
  3. Place in large baking pan and cover with the simmered sauce.
  4. Bake 275 degrees F. until apples are tender. About 30 minutes.
  5. Baste occasionally with syrup.
  6. Remove cloves and cinnamon, serve or refrigerate.
