Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour , sifted
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Grease a 9 square baking pan.
  3. Melt butter and chocolate in small saucepan over low heat.
  4. Stir to blend and set aside to cool.
  5. Beat eggs until light yellow; add salt, sugar, flour, and baking powder.
  6. Beat well.
  7. Blend in cooled chocolate, vanilla and pecans.
  8. Blend thouroughly.
  9. Pour into prepared pan and bake 35-45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  10. Cool before cutting.
