Frozen Lemon Squares

Ingredients:

  • crust
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • filling
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 12 oz container of whipped topping, thawed

Directions:

  1. Crust:
  2. Combine crumbs, sugar and margarine; press into bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Chill.
  3. Filling:
  4. Combine cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice and zest and mix at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended.
  5. Fold in nuts and whipped topping.
  6. Spread over crust and freeze.
  7. Place in refrigerator for 10 minutes just before cutting and serving.
