Fresh Broccoli Salad

Ingredients:

  • 3 small bunches of fresh broccoli , cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 10 slices of bacon
  • 2/3 cup raisins (which i omit completely in a batch for my mom)
  • 1 small red onion , chooped finely

Directions:

  1. Toss together broccoli, bacon, raisins (if using), and red onion in a large bowl, set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat together mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar.
  3. Pour prepared dressing over salad and toss to coat.
  4. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving and try to toss occasionally.
  5. You can also add peas, or shredded cheese in this and it works very well.
