Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Cut onions into 1/4-inch slices, and separate into rings.
  2. Combine milk and egg; beat well. Dip onion rings in milk mixture; dredge in flour. Repeat procedure with remaining onion to yield a thick coating on each ring.
  3. Fry onion rings in deep hot oil (375°) for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden. Drain well on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
  4. Serving Suggestions: French Fried Onion Rings may be served with any of the following: Dill Sauce, Horseradish Sauce, Mustard Dip Sauce, or any sour cream sauce.
