Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp salad oil

Directions:

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together into mixing bowl.
  2. Combine milk and salad oil; add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just till moistened.
  3. Drop from tablespoon atop bubbling stew.
  4. Cover tightly; let mixture return to boiling.
  5. Reduce heat (don't lift cover); simmer 12 to 15 minutes.
  6. Makes 10.
