Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. First, make the crostini. Slice the baguette into 1/2-3/4 inch thick slices. Then drizzle olive oil onto a cookie sheet. Place baguette slices on cookie sheet. Bake on one side at 400 degrees for about five minutes. Then flip over each piece and bake on other side for five minutes. (this step can be done ahead of time, just store pieces in a plastic bag until you need them)
  2. Take each fig, give it a little rinse and pat dry with a paper towel. Then carefully cut each fig into four quarters.
  3. Cut the basil lengthwise into thin strips (best to use a composite or plastic knife for a metal one will make edges go dark)
  4. Take one piece of crostini, spread an even layer of ricotta cheese on top. Take one fig quarter and place on top, then a few basil strips over fig. Drizzle balsamic glaze over top.
  5. Makes about 12-15 pieces. So pretty!
