Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Toast almonds in a 300 degree oven until lightly browned.
  2. In a heavy saucepan melt butter slowly then add sugar and mix well.
  3. Cook slowly stirring constantly until mixture reaches 290 on a candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in almonds.
  5. Pour immediately into a buttered cookie tin and spread thin.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips over candy while hot.
  7. When chips are melted spread out with spatula and sprinkle with finely chopped walnuts.
  8. Let cool and then break into pieces when chocolate is set.
