Ingredients:

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine
  • 3 -5 tbsp sugar or 3 -5 tbsp honey
  • 2 -4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 -6 cloves
  • 3 -4 cardamom pods
  • orange peel , from 1 orange

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a pot and slowly bring to a simmer over a low flame. Do not boil.
  2. Cover and let steep on a very low flame for about 15 minutes.
  3. Strain, ladle into mugs and serve.
