Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cut squash in half, lengthwise
  2. Seed out the hollow ends
  3. Place 1 tbsp raw sugar into each hollow end
  4. Place 1 tbsp butter into each hollow end and dab across the fleshy surface
  5. Salt & pepper to taste
  6. 1/2 tsp vanilla in each hollow end
  7. Sprinkle more raw sugar over the entire halves
  8. Tent with tinfoil
  9. Bake 375*F for 120 minutes, or until the squash is tender and lightly coated with the sugar crust.
  10. *****The reason the vanilla is added is to dramatically enhance the natural flavor of the squash. It is DELICIOUS, and adds no distinct vanilla flavor itself.
