Easy Chocolate Oatmeal Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp cocoa

Directions:

  1. Grease an 8 x 8 pan.
  2. Mix oats, boiling water, and butter.
  3. Let cool.
  4. Beat sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  5. Add cooled oat mixture to sugar/egg mixture.
  6. Sift the dry ingredients together.
  7. Add to the wet mixture and mix well.
  8. Spread into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
