Easy Baked Potato Chips

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium russet potatoes , scrubbed and sliced 1/8 inch thick
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees, with racks in center and lower positions.
  2. Slice potatoes and put them in a bowl of water.
  3. Soak for 10 minutes and pat potatoes dry.
  4. Divide potatoes between 2 rimmed baking sheets.
  5. Drizzle with oil, toss, and spread them in a single layer on sheets.
  6. Bake, flipping once, until centers are soft and edges are crisp, 22 to 25 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle liberally with salt.
  8. If you want to use sweet potatoes, follow this recipe but there's no need to soak them in water!
