Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dates
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups white flour

Directions:

  1. Mix dates, nuts, and hot water and let stand.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients.
  3. Add water mixture.
  4. Bake 1 hour at 350 deg.
