Crock Pot Raisin Bread Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices bread, cubed
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tbsp butter or 2 tbsp margarine
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Place bread cubes in a greased slow cooker.
  2. In bowl beat eggs, milk.
  3. Stir in sugar, butter, raisins, and cinnamon.
  4. Add to milk/eggs.
  5. Pour over bread.
  6. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour.
  7. Reduce heat and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until a thermometer reads 160 degrees.
  8. Just before serving, melt butter in saucepan.
  9. Stir in flour until smooth.
  10. Gradually add water, sugar and vanilla.
  11. Bring to a boil.
  12. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  13. Serve with warm bread pudding.
