Crock Pot Hoisin Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs chicken pieces
  • 1/4-1/3 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup plum sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 piece fresh gingerroot, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime , juice of
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • salt and pepper (optional)
  • 1 -2 tbsp minced fresh garlic, good to add (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl (except the chicken pieces).
  2. Add the chicken to the mixture; coat well.
  3. Put all ingredients in the slow cooker.
  4. Cook for 5-6 hours, or until chicken is tender.
  5. Serve with rice.
