Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Liberally grease and lightly flour
  2. 9X5X3-inch loaf pan. Individually prepare cranberries, nuts and
  3. Orange peel (optional) for use. Set aside. Mix flour, sugar,
  4. Baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a bowl. Cut in
  5. Shortening. Stir in orange juice, egg and orange peel
  6. (optional), mixing just enough to moisten. Fold in cranberries
  7. And nuts. Spoon mixture into a prepared pan. Bake 60 minutes
  8. Or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool
  9. On rack for 15 minutes. Remove loaf from pan, cool completely.
  10. Wrap and store overnight.
