Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:

  1. Melt butter over low heat;then remove.
  2. Add 2 c sugar. Beat.
  3. Add eggs an vailla. Blend.
  4. Add flour;cocoa;and salt. Mix.
  5. Stir in coconut.
  6. Pour into greased 13 by 9 pan.
  7. Sprinkle remaining ingredients over. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes.
  8. The coconut in this recipe makes them nice and moist.
