Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar, butter, shortening, eggs, and vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
  4. Stir in the oats and chocolate chips.
  5. Drop onto cookie sheets.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes (depending on size and cookie sheets used).
