Classic Banana Muffins

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Sift together first 3 ingredients, set aside
  2. Cream together next 4 ingredients, blend in vanilla
  3. Alternately pour in mashed bananas and flour
  4. Do not over mix
  5. Scoop into small muffin cups (2oz)
  6. Bake 350*F for 12-15mins or until brown and a bit crisp
  7. Serve with whipped cream
