Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsps. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsps. soda
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 lb. raisins
  • 1 cup. orange juice
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 cup. flour , sifted before measuring
  • 1/2 lb. dates, cut up

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar, margarine, salt; add beaten eggs and milk and continue beating.
  2. Add soda and flour and orange juice.
  3. Prepare fruit and nuts as you would for fruit cake.
  4. Use 1/2 cup of extra flour with fruit ot dredge, aslo nuts.
  5. Drop by tsp. on cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 325 until golden brown.
