Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease bottoms only of 2 round
  2. Pans, 8 or 9x1 1/2 inches, with shortening.
  3. Make cake mix as directed on package, using water,
  4. Oil and eggs.
  5. Pour into pans.
  6. Bake 8-inch pans 33 to 38 minutes, 9-inch pans 28
  7. To 33 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center
  8. Comes out clean.
  9. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans.
  10. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
  11. Cut cake in appropriate shapes and arrange.
  12. Frost top and sides of cake pieces with frosting.
  13. Use yellow gumdrop slices for eyes, black gumdrop for nose and
  14. Shoestring licorice for whiskers, lines on eyes and front paws.
  15. Store loosely covered.
