Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease one 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. Bring water to a boil. Pour over chopped dates and baking soda. Let stand until cool. Stir in the sugar, flour, mayonnaise, and salt. Mix until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  3. Mix the brown sugar, chopped nuts, and chocolate chips together. Sprinkle over top of batter.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 to 45 minutes.
