  1. Preheat oven to 350°F Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper. Do not grease.
  2. In a bowl, combine vanilla wafers, 1/3 cup butter, and granulated sugar. Pour mixture into prepared pan, and press mixture evenly over the bottom and sides of the pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat eggs with a fork. Stir in corn syrup. Add brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter, and vanilla and stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in almonds and chocolate. Place prepared pan on a baking sheet. Carefully pour filling into pan and bake in a 350°F oven for 40 minutes. Remove the outer ring of the springform pan before presentation.
