Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 heath candy bars, crushed (or 1 package toffee bits)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400*F.
  2. Grease the bottoms only of 12 standard-size muffin cups, or line with paper liners.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the milk, oil and egg.
  4. Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; add to milk mixture just until combined.
  5. Do not overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the Heath bars.
  7. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin tins-the cups will be full; bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick tests out clean.
  8. Immediately remove muffins from the tins; serve warm, or cool completely.
  9. ***Insteadof Heath bars, try chopped Snickers bars, Milky Ways, peppermint patties, Milk Duds, Whoppers, etc.
