Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Spice Bread

Ingredients:

  • (dry)
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 ginger
  • 1/4 ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • ( wet )
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin
  • 3/4 cup choc chips
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1-2 tbsp. heavy cream

Directions:

  1. In medium bowl mix dry ingredients. Set aside.
  2. In large bowl, mix butter with sugar well, add vanilla and eggs and remix until creamy.
  3. Now add a 1/4 of dry ingredients to the large wet ingredient’s bowl and mix. Then add some pumpkin and mix. Repeat alternating dry and pumpkin ending with dry.
  4. Add chips.
  5. Pour into 9 inch, well greased loaf pan and bake at 350 for 45 min. (Double the recipe to fill a bundt pan.) Cover loaf with tin foil for first 30 minutes. Remove foil for last 15-20 minutes. Check at 40 minutes and then every 5 minutes with a knife into the center for dryness. Let cool in pan until warm.
  6. Glaze-
  7. Add a little cream and mix well. Add more cream until you get a thick syrup consistency.
  8. Drizzel glaze over warm loaf so it melts down the sides.
