Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup choc chips ( of choice )

Directions:

  1. Lightly grease a shallow 8 - inch square cake pan
  2. Place butter , sugar and syrup in saucepan and cook over low heat ,stirring constantly until butter and sugar is melted and the mixture is well combined
  3. Remove the pan from heat and add oats with wooden spoon until well coated add choc chips and raisins and mix well
  4. Turn into prepared pan and press down well
  5. Bake 160 for + - 30 mins
  6. Cool slightly ,then mark into bars when almost cold cut the bars transfer to a wire rack until cold
  7. Enjoy with your favourite cuppa
