Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease 15 x 10 or 13 x 9-inch pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat brown sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
  4. Add molasses, vanilla and eggs; blend well.
  5. Stir in oats, flour, baking soda and salt; blend well.
  6. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
  7. Spread in greased pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F.
  9. For 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown and center is set.
  10. Cool slightly. Cut into bars.
  11. Serve warm or cool.
  12. Yield: 48 bars Enjoy!
