Ingredients:

  • 350 g firm tofu diced in 1 inch. squares
  • 1 tbsp of cooking oil
  • 1 tsp of sesame oil
  • 1 small piece ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of sechuan pepper, roasted, ground
  • 2 tbsp of dou ban jiang (chili bean sauce)
  • 3 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 cup of stock
  • pinch of sugar
  • 1 tsp corn flour dissolved in 2 tbsp of water
  • 1 spring onion , finely slicced

Directions:

  1. With 1 tbs oil saute ginger and garlic until fragant add dou ban jiang.
  2. Add ground pork, stir fry until pork is brown , add sugar to caramelize, add soy sauce.
  3. When it's fragant Add stock, rice wine, and tofu
  4. Cook until sauce is absorbed, add sesame oil, corn flour mixture to thicken the sauce.
  5. Garnish with finely sliced spring onion, served
