Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Stir together flour, salt and baking powder; set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs; beat well.
  4. Stir in milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Add flour mixture; thoroughly combine. Stir in nuts, dates and 1/3 cup chopped cherries.
  6. Portion dough using a level measuring tablespoon.
  7. Shape into balls.
  8. Roll in crushed corn flakes.
  9. Place about 2 apart on greased baking sheets.
  10. Top each cookie with a cherry quarter.
  11. Bake in a 375F degree oven about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  12. Remove immediately from baking sheets and cool on wire racks.
  13. -NOTE:-
  14. I am going to try these dried cherries I have here and see how well they work out. I eat them like they are raisins, they are so sweet. I think it will work.
