Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Set oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 13x9 baking dish.
  3. Cook noodles in a large pot of boiling water; drain and toss with 3 tablespoons butter.
  4. Place half of the cooked noodles in the baking dish.
  5. Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, garlic and cayenne and mushrooms, over medium heat until meat is no londer pink; drain.
  6. Add tomato sauce and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese; simmer for about 30 minutes seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan, green onions and green peppers, then spread half of the mixture on top of the cooked noodles.
  8. Top with half of the meat and cheese mixtures.
  9. Repeat the layers.
  10. Cover and bake for 20 minutes.
  11. Uncover and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  12. Place back in the oven to bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the casserole is bubbley.
