Cardamom Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Whisk together dry ingredients, except sugar in a bowl.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla, until fluffy.
  3. Reduce speed and beat in flour mixture.
  4. Roll into two 12-inch logs.
  5. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 350.
  7. Slice into 1/4-inch slices and bake on ungreased cookie sheets 10-12 minutes.
  8. Cool on sheets 3 minutes, then move to racks.
