Cape Cod Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 3/4 cups oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350*.
  2. In a medium sized bowl, sift together the flour, soda, salt and cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
  4. Incorporate flour mixture into oat mixture (with wooden spoon) until well blended.
  5. Drop cookie dough by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake for approx.
  7. 12 minutes, or until the edges turn slightly brown.
  8. Cool on wire racks.
  9. Store in tightly covered container.
