Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups of sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp baking powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar and blend in vanilla.
  3. Add egg and beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Blend gradually into butter mixture.
  6. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Top each with a pinch of sprinkles.
  8. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
