Burnt Sugar Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Melt the sugar slowly over low heat until it turns caramel color.
  2. Add the water (it will sputter and some will harden,but will melt again.)
  3. Add the milk and heat to slow boil.
  4. Add the cornstarch dissolved in a small amount of water,cook mixture until thickened.
  5. Serve warm or cold,with,or without,cream.
