Ingredients:

  • 500 g maida flour
  • 200 g oil
  • 1/2 tsp dhaniya powder
  • 250 g channa dal
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

Directions:

  1. Add salt and 2 tbsp oil to maida.
  2. Add water and make a soft dough.
  3. Soak chana dal for 6 hours.
  4. Boil it in a pressure cooker with a glassful of water.
  5. Wait for 1 whistle.
  6. Turn off the gas.
  7. Drain away the water and grind the dal.
  8. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadahi.
  9. Add dal paste and roast it for 3-4 minutes.
  10. Add all the masala powder.
  11. When it cools down stuff this paste into maida balls.
  12. The paranthas should be as thin as a papad.
  13. Make soft paranthas an hour before serving.
  14. Serve with Aloo Dum Masala, Raita and Chutney.
