Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the berries, sugar, water and lemon juice.
  2. Heat to boiling and reduce to a simmer.
  3. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  4. Cut in the butter.
  5. Add the milk, all at once and mix only until moistened.
  6. Drop by spoonfuls into the simmering berries.
  7. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. DO NOT LIFT THE LID.
  9. Serve warm with Whipped Cream, Cream or Ice Cream.
