Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sesame seeds; stir well. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle milk evenly over flour mixture, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
  2. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead 4 to 5 times.
  3. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness; cut with a 1 3/4-inch biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
