Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp course ground pepper
  • 2 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 4 tbsp tender quick

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients well and refrigerate for 72 hours.
  2. Knead 5 minutes each day.
  3. Day 3-Make into 4 logs place on cooling rack and place cooling rack on cookie sheet.
  4. Bake 160 for 9 hours (yes, 9), turning after 4 hours.
  5. When done, blot with paper towels.
  6. Great served with cheese and crackers.
