Ingredients:

  1. Trim any excess fat from ribs. In a dish large enough to hold ribs, mix together hoisin, soy, sesame oil, five spice powder, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Add ribs and rub to coat all over with marinade. Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours. Remove from refrigerator at least one hour before cooking. Preheat oven to 450*. Cook ribs on a rack 25-30 minutes until meat is tender and there is no trace of pink near bone. Or grill ribs on a covered outdoor grill over ashy coals 20-25 minutes, turning every 3 minutes to cook evenly.
  2. Serve as part of a chinese meal.
