Baked Apples On The Grill

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Peel and core apples, while leaving apples whole.
  2. Cream the butter, vanilla and sugar, and fold in Red Hots.
  3. Portion the mixture evenly into the hollow core of the apples.
  4. Wrap each apple individually in foil, and place on the grill, or right in the hot coals of a campfire until done.
  5. Baking time varies with the variety of the apple but is usually takes about15 minutes.
  6. Apple may be tested for doneness by poking it with a fork.
  7. *****Try serving this with a large dollop of whipped cream, or a generous scoop of ice cream on the side. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
  8. Makes 4 servings.
